Round 3 Preview: Heading North To Knockhill

After a strong start to the 2026 British Supersport Championship, it's time for Round 3 as we head north of the border to one of the most unique circuits on the calendar Knockhill. The Scottish venue hosts the third round of the championship this weekend, and it's a track that always delivers close racing, unpredictable conditions and plenty of action.

The season has started positively for the Raceways Yamaha team. We opened the year with two podium finishes at Oulton Park before taking my first victory of the season at Donington Park. Despite a difficult second race at Donington following a jump start penalty, we still left the weekend with valuable championship points and plenty of confidence in the package we have underneath us.

Since Donington, the team has been working hard behind the scenes to continue developing the new Yamaha R9. Every test session teaches us something new, and while we've made some big steps forward, we know there is still more performance to find. That's the exciting part of being involved in a brand-new project.

We recently completed a productive test at Knockhill where we worked through a busy programme of setup changes. The circuit is unlike anywhere else in the UK. It's short, technical, undulating and rewards commitment. You spend most of the lap either climbing uphill, dropping downhill or attacking one of the many blind corners that make Knockhill such a challenge.

Historically, Knockhill has always produced some of the closest racing in British Superbikes and Supersport. The margins are tiny, qualifying is critical and confidence around the lap is everything. With overtaking opportunities throughout the circuit and the ever-present possibility of Scottish weather throwing a curveball into the mix, it's a weekend where anything can happen.

From our side, the objective remains simple. Continue building momentum, keep learning about the R9 and fight for podiums. The pace has been there in the opening rounds, and if we can execute a clean weekend, I believe we'll be in the mix at the front once again.

A huge thank you to all of my sponsors, partners and supporters who continue to back this journey. The support both at the circuit and online has been incredible this year, and it genuinely makes a difference.

We'll be bringing you plenty of behind-the-scenes content throughout the weekend, so keep an eye on my social media channels and YouTube for updates from Scotland.

See you at Knockhill.
