I broke my back… Can I still ride a MX bike?

A few years ago I broke my back in a racing accident and it completely changed my confidence on a motocross bike. In this vlog, I head to a private quarry for a proper MX session to answer one question: can I still ride at the level I used to?

We kick the day off at home with a bit of banter before loading up and heading out. Dru joins us for the weekend and comes along for the ride he’s seriously quick on an enduro bike, which made this session even better. No pressure, no racing agenda just raw riding, honest thoughts, and seeing where my head and body are really at.

Motocross has always been a key part of my training as a professional motorcycle racer. After a broken back, rebuilding confidence is just as important as rebuilding strength. This session was about feel, flow, and whether I can truly switch off and ride again.

If you’ve ever come back from injury in motocross, enduro, road racing, or any sport this one will resonate.

Inside the Factory Yamaha R9 Build

We’re back inside the Raceways Yamaha workshop for a proper update on the Factory R9 Supersport build. No hype, just where the bike is really at right now, what’s finished, and what still needs work before testing.

We’re back inside the Raceways Yamaha workshop for a proper update on the Factory R9 Supersport build. No hype, just where the bike is really at right now, what’s finished, and what still needs work before testing.

On the drive, we talk through my new racing leathers and helmet designs for the upcoming season and the inspiration behind them. We then arrive at Raceways Yamaha in Fleetwood and head straight into the workshop for a full update on the R9 race build.

Inside the workshop, we break down the current spec of the Yamaha R9, key upgrades, and what those changes are expected to deliver on track ahead of testing. We also take a look at my practice bike and the upgrades I’m running as I prepare for my upcoming training trip to Spain.

This vlog gives a clear look at race bike development, Supersport preparation, and what goes on behind the scenes before the season begins.

Spending 24 Hours with Leon Haslam VLOG

I recently spent 24 hours with Leon at the Haslam Farm and this vlog gives a real look at the lifestyle, training, recovery, and environment that surrounds professional motorcycle racing.

I recently spent 24 hours at the Haslam Farm, starting the night before with the drive over, then dinner, training, and a sauna, before an early morning session with our coach Kirk at David Lloyd Derby.

After training, Leon took us back to the farm for a full behind the scenes tour. From the Haslam museum to the barns where the ROKiT Rookie workshops and race team are run, this is where a huge amount of work happens away from the racetrack.

We finished the day with some trials riding which was humbling, to say the least. Leon made it look easy I absolutely did not.

pre-season training is officially underway

In this vlog, we head to Spain for pre-season testing as part of my preparation for the 2026 British Supersport season with Yamaha R9!

The NEC launch is done, the season is coming fast, and pre-season training is officially underway. In this vlog, we head to Spain for pre-season testing as part of my preparation for the 2026 British Supersport season with Yamaha R9!

It’s absolute chaos from start to finish. From travel days and paddock life, to on-track action, to me trying (and failing) to spanner my own bike, this video shows the real side of pre-season. No polish - just bikes, graft, laughs, and plenty of mistakes along the way. The trip also features some serious talent, riding alongside Kyle Ryde, Christian Iddon, Leon Haslam, plus all the boys who make these trips what they are. Massive thanks to No Limits Trackdays for being so accommodating and helping make the days run smoothly.

I’ve got loads more Spain content coming, and my YouTube channel is all about documenting the full journey showng the work, struggles, wins, and everything in between. If you enjoyed the video above, please subscribe to my channel and stick with me - the season starts now!
